I have also put about 10k miles on my car since my OCC was installed and every time I check it it has been dry. It's a BMS catch can. I triple checked my install and my oil levels are always perfect when it comes time to change it. I guess maybe some cars or driving patterns it doesn't matter *shrug*

Some cars have a lot of blow by, some have a little. if your oil catch can is dry and you cant find any leaks anywhere along the lines the lead to/from it, consider yourself lucky!

installed my BMS OCC at 8000KM, now at 25000KM bone dry like day one. car still burns oil, top up a quart of oil roughly every 8000KM? so im guessing its either my car has very little blow by, or the OCC is doing nothing and i already have massive carbon built up on my valves.

Do you guys actually drive aggressively? IT will catch but you need to drive it sometimes like you stole it. My cheap ass Riss Racing (which I modified) works awesome..I catch about 1/4 cup of the party Solo cup each oil change about 3500 miles

The BMS catch can is one of the better options. If it doesn't catch anything and you ahve no leaks of oil elsewhere then you simpy don't have much blow by.
I actually had a Riss Racing OCC back in the day. After replacing some leaking issues they had way back when it actually produced a good amount of oil but then again I drove the car pretty hard a majority of the time. |
