Pzero Nero M+S or Goodyear Eagle F1 All-season?

I'm looking to put some decent all-seasons on my car and was debating between these 2. I was contemplating the kumho ecsta asx also but those appear to be out of stock. Does anyone have any experience with either of these tires?

Don't get the pzero nero MS. Although they perform decent in the rain, in dry conditions, the tires follow the grooves on the road. This is especially noticeable on the freeways when your car starts to change directions all of a sudden. If you read the reviews on lets say tirerack, you will see a LOT of people complaining about this.

Go with the Goodyear GSD3. Although i haven't tried them personally, friends have told me nothing but good reviews on its dry and wet traction.

Thanks for the input, although the Eagle F1 all-season's are a different tire than the gs-d3's, maybe I'll look more into those.

I had the Neros M+s on my 04 Audi S4 and loved them after 2 months they were great and wonderful feed back. I never noticed any strange tracking but you do need to watch tire pressure when they are new. It takes some time for them to break in!!

I agree with the break in. I have about 2,000 miles on P_Zero Nero on my 335I cabrio. Have not experienced tramlining. Ride quality is far superior to the stock run flats which made the car undrivable in NYC.
I drove it it the rain on the autocross course at Lime Rock last week and found them to be very predictable. They gave a good amount of warning before they let go.

I think they are a very good compromise between comfort and performance.

I've owned both sets of tires (the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S's on my Acura TL and the Goodyear Eagle F1's on a C5 corvette). The Goodyears were fine, but I liked the Pirelli's even more. They were fantastic all around tires (fast, handled excellent, wore well, and were quiet). I disagree with the previous comment about "the tires follow the grooves on the road". I live in Dallas where we have a lot of construction and roads with grooves. It wasn't a problem for me with the Pirelli's (maybe the front-wheel drive in my TL made a difference??).

I read several posts about the P_Zero Neros tramlining. While I am sure the posters were speaking from their experience I have not experienced it.

BTW mine are non run flats. I am not sure if they are available in a run flat version. If so maybe those are the ones that tramline.

PZero

I have the Ecsta ASX on my 530i. I'm getting ready to do a lease return on the car, and I have to replace the damn things after 9800 miles in order to pass lease inspection. On another note, I, too, had P-Zero M+S on an A4, and had no complaints. I have an '08 335i on order, and the first order will be to remove the run-flats, place them in storage until about 5,000 miles left on the lease, and run high-performance non run-flats the remainder of the time. I absolutely refuse to pay the extortion to buy two sets during the lease. This way, I can return the car with run-flats without having to use the damn things, wear them out, and buy more. (My small protest against BMW tyranny.)

Thats exactly what I'm planning on doing. I have about 2k miles on the car right now, I'm going to buy some decent all-seasons and hope they last about 30k miles and then I'm going to throw the oem RFT's back on before I return the car.

Dear God, please, if you manage 30K on one set of tires, let me know your secret!

Actually there is a RF version of the Pzero Nero M & S available on Tire Rack. I'd really like to hear reports form people who have them, but, unfortunately, there are only two reviews posted on Tire Rack for the RF version. The Tire Rack people tell me that for most parameters like noise, traction, ect, the reviews for the non-runflat version should be applicable. Supposedly the tread design and the compounds are the same; the only difference, according to Tire Rack people, is the sidewall design.

I had the pzero neros for about 1 year on my old car and they were fantastic tires. I would definetly buy them again. At high speeds they were absolutely silent. I also read reviews about tramlining but never experienced it. I'm not sure how much the goodyear's cost but the pirellis were very affordable for what you were getting. The treadwear is very high compared to most all seasons. Wet and dry conditions, the tire performed amazingly. Great tire, you can't go wrong.
