Backlog on new ConnectedDrive accounts

After filling in the on-line registration form 5-days ago, I was surprised that I had not received my password/login info, so I have just called BMW. I have been told that they are currently working on new registrations from 28th September!!

I have been told that it will be another week before I get the info ... so if you have the details, but are still awaiting delivery of the car, get your registration in now.
My car arrives on Monday, and I wont be able to use CD for a week or so after delivery!
It cant be that difficult can it ?

this sounds wrong.. upon delivery, your CA will introduced you to another person who is handling that department and he will set you up. it will take like 10mins and you are all set. before you leave the dealership, your car should ready and everything is functional.

any chance I can fill out this online form so I can shorten the wait? My car, a 2014 328d with EBII is coming to my dealer after a 2 month wait - around Friday the 18th of October! Would like CD to be ready by the time I pick up the car, or shortly thereafter?

As long as you have the vehicle registration number, and the last 6-digits of the VIN, you should be able to complete the application. In the UK its here: https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk...n?locale=en_UK

Mine took 10 days to come through after registering online. I was given some story how they had changed their system and Google had changed theirs and that it was taking a bit longer... Really?!? My guess is the usual UK September sales rush caught BMW with their pants down.

The first time I called I was told they couldn't find me on the system. Transpired that they had my middle name as my surname...
