So how much faster is a piggy-back tuned 335i over a 330i?

I realize the #'s speak for themselves, but owning a 330i and wanting to jump to the 335i, knowing the only mod I will make is a piggyback, can anyone chime in on this from experience? I know it will be considerably faster, but are we talking night and day? Will I be shocked?

I test-drove the 335i and was very impressed, but not besides myself on how much faster it is than the 330i. I have a feeling the modded 335i (again only piggyback) will be a huge difference.

It's like compairing an e46 323 to an e46 M3.

The majority of the piggybacks out there make the 335i a different beast. In most cases it feels like a completely different car in regards to power. My coworker has a 330i and the difference is night and day.

My first drive after I added procede, 1.45, and I was so happy. The car pulls very hard. I can not wait to get v2. Hopefully 0-60 in 4.2-4.3 and 1/4 mile in the mid 12's around 110 is possible.

The new 08 vette with 430 hp (6.2 liter v8) is making just a little better than those kind of numbers stock.

1/4 mile on new vette of 12.410 at 116 mph : http://www.dragtimes.com/Chevrolet-C...lip-12880.html

I let a fellow e90 post member take my Procede v2.0 car for a spin a few weeks ago (he has a e90 330i) and he couldn't believe how hard my car pulls. Previously he drove only stock 335i's and couldn't believe the difference. Another member with a stock 335i who went for a drive with me the day before is now purchasing a Procede.

Huge difference I think. Is the e46 330 about the same power as the e90 328? If yes, then its huge. I had a 328 loaner and it felt like a pig compared to my 335.

Make the jump! You wont be sorry.

put it this way. i own 2 e92 335. mine and my girlfriends. Mine is 6MT and hers is AT, at first i used to think that her car was faster because it gives you a little kick on take off, but after adding PROcede to mine its night and day even from another 335. i was driving an the expressway last night home from a football game and could not believe the difference, its like i was driving a honda, no pull in 3rd or fourth. i'm sure the pull is there i've just gotten used to mine, plus i get to drive the two of them everyweek. Everyday i congratulate myself on the best 1300 bucks i ever spent.

i went a little overboard on the description, but had to put in there. But i was in the same boat as you, went from a 330i '06 to the 335, and noticed immediately on the test drive...oh..and the demo car was a 6MT.

Talking Ask me, I own both cars and the 335i is stock. Huuuuuge difference.

Men 330 vs 335 is day and night difference. Even a stock 335. Mine is stock and I can honestry tell you there is absolutely no comparison worth stating. I can only imagine how much more distance the procede puts between the two cars.

First two 335s I test drove disappointed. Both were sedan and both had bucking issue thats been since solved. I "felt" they were faster than my 330ci, but not enough to make me want to buy one. I really did not need a new car.

Test drove a 335i coupe one day because I was bored waiting for my car at VOB, dude! Men I was so damn impressed I went to order one. Yes, I was not selling my 330 and did not need another car, but forget common sense. I wanted a 335i. It simply was and is that much better. It honestly was like a whole new experience. The more I got used to the 335i in Europe during ED, the faster I was able to drive it, more comfortably I might add.

Now back in the US, my 330 feels like a total pig. Many days I drive the 330 as its now my daily driver. Then I get into the 335 when I feel feisty, and drive that. Love it, love it! It puts a smile on my face all the time.

My girlfriend is, but I am black. Why do you think I am Asian? I am just as curious now. Do you know a guy in Fairfax with a 335i and a 330? BTW my girlfriend dosen't like my cars. she likes Toyota Matrix

Such a drastic analogy... yet so true. I am soooooo glad that I did not get the 330i in 2006. I was very close to pulling the trigger...

Now that it's cooled down to the 70's at night in AZ (finally), anytime I floor it from a rolling start in 3rd gear at 40mph still makes me say "holy shit this thing is fast"...only mod is PROcede V1.47 running 93 octane.

I haven't driven any 330i yet but from seing what I had seen on the magazine, a stock 335i makes loops around the 330.

Even a 330 with a S/C wouln't be a match to a 335i(my opinion). Having said that a chipped 335i will be a night to day comparisson.

Went from a 330i to a tuned 335i, HUGE jump in power. And I thought the 330i was quick when first bought.

Actually that is a pretty good guess! I dragged against a beautifully modded 330 last Monday and it was supercharged. I was able to outrun it despite its better launch. The driver was pulling 1.8x 60 ft times all day to my 2-2.3 60 ft times.

I dont have a video of the race (do have one against an e46 M3 which I stomped) but here are the numbers:

Me s/c 330

60ft 2.070 1.889
1/8 8.512 8.550
mph 85.39 82.08
1/4 13.122 13.341
mph 106.73 102.68

So as you can see the 335 w procede ran down the s/c 330 already at the 1/8th w/ a 3.3mph advantage. I shifted HORRIBLY into 4th and cost myself precious time. This would have been my best run of the day if not for that. Hell this might have been my 12.99 that I was after.....my best mph was 3mph better by the 1/4 than this run.

I missed the joke. Thanks man, my spelling is pretty bad I'll admit it. Funny though.
