Aftermarket Chrome coating on Kidney Grills?

Ok this may seem weird, but I like the look of the chrome grills on darker colors. The Gloss black grills would be the closest to what I could get for the Mineral Gray exterior.

The front kind of looks dull with Matte black grills in my opinion.
Anyone knows how I can paint the grills slats to get the chrome look?

Only the front face of the slats will look chrome and not the insides, that would look totally weird like the Modern Line grills which I do not like much.

Any solution for chrome paint or something similar with good lasting finish?
