I was at the Bav Auto show and I was also driving home up I-89 that afternoon. I must have been just ahead of these guys, I would have been around Berlin right before 4:30. The rain was terrible in VT... I was taking it real easy but saw a couple other BMWs flying way too fast for conditions. I did see one regular car (Camry or something) halfway off the highway, diagonally, but pointing back onto the road - it must have washed out but got lucky and stayed on the pavement.

Someone posted on bimmerforums:"One of the gentlemen that stopped to help said that the bmw hydroplaned at 65mph, turning 180 degrees and impacting into ledge directly backwards, 65mph to 0mph instantly."

I didn't meet these guys - it's a massive show/crowd - but I happened to get a picture of the car.

Happy Motoring, but be careful out there....
