Discount on a new M4?

I'm thinking of changing my A8 for the new M4. I have a very good relationship with my local dealership and I don't want to be taking the piss but do you think I should be able to get a discount or a few options included? They were going to give me a few extras on a new x5 if I went for one.

I look at how the M5 went with people saying "you won't get a discount for a year " and now we see them giving them away.

Won't be many incentives at this stage and even in the early stages after launch, it will be considered too new and exciting to need discounts. Sales performance will then dictate the discount structure.

Yes big deals on the M5 simply because of the lack of economy, they need to attract people into them.

Garage List
Yes, an M5 could be had for something daft like £550+vat in basic form but less of a market for a big super saloon over a spicy M4. It will all be down to initial sales and whether they need to shift some metal. I'll be watching closely as behind a 991 an M4 is my near perfect car.

Are you not still waiting on a 991 GT3 Scoot? My friend just ordered one in Sapphire blue last week.

I wouldn't put a discount on an M4 past BMW at the moment. People seem to be getting amazing deals on nearly all other models. People were getting at least 6% off the M135i almost from the day it launched. I would guess there's the same margin in an M4 obviously at a higher value. Certainly no harm in asking.

Yes I'm still waiting but I'm hearing that orders have been pulled back due to a faulty part on the new PDK-S box. I was fourth on the list and annoyingly I informed the dealer at the time I wanted the car for March delivery which was fine , but I've heard that they had received more allocations and have put people in front of me without asking if I'd like my car earlier and now we have this delay!
If I find I'm not getting the car in March as agreed and people have jumped in front they can go ..uck themselves !

That sounds really odd. My friend ordered his just a couple of weeks ago and has been told that it will go into production next month and be delivered before Christmas. Unless I picked him up wrong.

There seems to be a component problem and everyone is having orders pulled back. Big thread on Pistonheads about it at the moment.

Well it seems like Porsche were stringing him along as he's just been told the same as you. As you posted it here just a few days after he ordered the dealer must have known about it.
