Anyone install these, or know any pros/cons of getting these? : http://www.bimmian.com/AutoCarbon-Ca...W-F30-3-Series" rel="ugc" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://www.bimmian.c...0-3-Series</a>
Will the dealer install these for a decent labor price? Will getting these void the warranty? Looks like a decent upgrade for baseline wheel owners since these seem to be compatible with the airbag. Thoughts?

I had contemplated for a long time about getting this steering wheel. At that time it was $800 for the base line and sports line. Then they increased the price by $200 and I gave up on this wheel. The wheel looks very nice but I'm a bit concerned about the overall increase in the outside diameter of the wheel since the base wheel is anyway so large.
I have a $20 14" (not the regular 14.5"-15.5" that you find) black perforated leather steering wheel cover that fits very snugly on my steering wheel and provides adequate thickness. Feel is very nice too. Moreover it is very discrete -- cannot really make out that I have a steering wheel cover unless you look hard and still does not look bad at all. I'm pretty happy for what I got for $20. If you are really willing to spend that much for the steering wheel, you should also consider purchasing the M sport wheel and the airbag from BMW and having it recoded/installed by them. It will set you back by about $1700 total (including labor). |

Another option is to install the F20 M steering wheel.
Direct swap, no coding and you can do it all yourself in about 10 minutes. Not sure what the cost is in the States though? H |
