You've already seen the M3/M4 technical presentation slides in our Official Tech Guide Thread. Now view the presentation as it was meant to be digested - in animated form.

Who doesn't like fancy 360 degree rotating views and animated technical blow-ups... we definitely do.

Cool animations, love the exploded views, but the floating M4 name towards the end of each segment still feels weird, really like the car though-- great design and impressive specs. Looking forward to reviews.

I wonder what this baby is going to cost. I have a feeling it will be significantly more with all the carbon fibre weight reductions. Possibly the engine will be a bit less expensive because of its similarity to the N55, but the turbos offset that some.

Bad font choice

I think the font they chose for the number 4 makes is weird looking. It is far from the m and just doesn't flow....

I think BMW really focused on the design, chassis and then engine. In that order. Car will no doubt be amazing!

All I see is this

The car itself looks excellent, however.

Anyone catch how in the video it states that the car uses twin power turbo but in the specs that I saw in the other threat it stated, "Two Mitsubishi mono-scroll turbochargers".

Anyone have some input on that?

It's confusing how BMW uses this label because they apply it to various engines of different turbo configurations.

They now use "twinpower turbo" to describe both bi-turbo engines (those with two turbochargers) like the S55 and S63Tu, as well as engines using a single twin-scroll turbocharger like the N55.

I am wondering how easy it will be to convert all the m4 badges to m3 badges. hopefully they keep most of the interior as just the ///M badge and the ///M4 is reserved for the grill and the trunk badge

You would really go through all the trouble of changing the 3 to a 4? That wouldn't even make sense to change it to an 'M3'?

That's stupid, should keep it twin power turbo and twin turbo power like they did for the N54 and N55.
