September Lease Deal, Is this good or bad?
Hi folks,
Need your advices on this deal. I will have to decide this week. So I went to a dealership in GTA today and got a quote, and this wasn't my first time getting a quote, so I told the salesperson price range, package and more importantly the discount I want right after I walked in. At the beginning , he told me the promotions they have know, and of course, I knew I could get more than that. Sorry I don't have the actual price quote, rates and etc . And that is all I remember. He began with : 1.9% interest rate, 48 months, 20,000 kms 328i xdrive w/ sport line & heated steering & metallic paint and excessive wear warranty . And he started with taking off 8%/approx $4,000 off and in addition to $2,750 incentive. That's a total of $6,750 discount pre tax. That would translate into: Due on delivery (including 1 st month): $1,000 Monthly payment: $640 tax in And then I asked for more, and then eventually, he gave me this He wasn't willing to tell me what fees he would take off, so I didn't ask Same car and same terms but now is for Due on delivery: $605 (1st month) + $1,299 (Excessive wear warranty) Monthly Payment: $605 tax in. Any opinion and advice is welcome |

lots of missing #.
Assuming it has just what you mentioned. Total price of the car is $48,500 Assumption: 0 down Residual 44% or $21,340 all fees are included in the finance option - $2800 (not incl. taxes) Overall, dealer is making $ from the dealer admin fee + dealer-factory volume incentive + pdi + other small bogus fees + comm on the wear & tear protection plan I would say it's pretty good deal. |

it is 0 down. I think it's r.v. is something like 46%....Everything is in the financed option. All I have to pay is 1st month payment and possbily I can put the excess wear warranty into the payments as well for $25~30/ month. And total MSRP including PDI, freight and everything is $51,660 before Ontario HST (13%). Thanks

Residual should be 45% based on 20k, 4 years. This is a very good deal - I would take it if I were you. Is the vehicle a demo? If so how many KMS? It may also be a demo that the dealer has not driven, but the warranty has started on it? Can you confirm it is brand new, and warranty begins on the day you drive it off?

Its brand new, at least in its status. Only 200kms the sales said somebody might have used it to pick up customers or something. You guys think this a very good deal?

200km. sorry. that's not brand new. That's a demo or service loaner. If it's service loaner, then the in service date is already active.
anyway, since it's leasing. you only care the lowest $ per month. If it is purchase, then I would flip (a bit). I would not have even pay the freight/pdi in full, perhaps, 1/2 of the $2300. |

Well if the in Service Date is 8 months ago, and it's a 4 year lease, you may be out of warranty for the last 8 months which is factor to consider.

no wonder the dealer is giving you a 'quick just get it out the door' pricing. Normally, they will want you to fight with them to get to the rock bottom pricing.

Oh! I guess what 's done is done. No point looking back. Like you said, you are satisfied with the overall numbers.
Ask for nicer keychain on delivery day. Don't settle on those crappy ones. A M keychain would be really nice ! |

Right. Just want to know what kind of I've gotten myself into.
Finally realize the salesperson gave me 47% R.V (which is supposed to be 45 for now, however, he charge me another $500 for this) and 1.9% and $6,800 pre tax discount. I would say I got a pretty good deal. ~! |

strange. I have never encountered such setup, not sure how the dealer change RV without the approval of BMW Canada FS.
Anyway, enjoy the new ride. |

From reading a couple of posts here I get the impression that when buying a new BMW there is still a big difference from the advertised price and the best price you can get. Thought those days were over but seems I will need to do some dealing to get a good price on my first BMW.
So from what I understand I can expect to get 8% off the MSRP, correct? |
