I preordered one on Apple.co.uk the gold 32gb version then went into town only to be told the limited Stock was sold out by 9.15 but they had hundreds off the 5c model .

So tonight I have no 5s and have a delivery date off sometime in OCT

I really can't see the 5c being a big seller, its only a bit cheaper than the 5s so most will go the extra money.

I went to have a look at one today and just could not see the point of upgrading and I have the 4s. io7 is ok but use it for a couple of days and there is nothing major in the update. now I love apple products, I have 2 iPads and a 4s. I even get a free phone from work and still bought a 4s I liked that much, that was 2 years ago and nothing has really changed. After playing with a galaxy s4 and an HTC one I bought an HTC. I am so impressed with it, everything about it is brilliant including the build quality. The 5s is just not worth the money (I am buying sim free) when compared with other phones on the market.

2x Space Gray 64gb & 2x Gold 64gb ordered through work. Delivery of Space Gray on 1st Nov. No word on the Gold. Have chased up the accuracy of the date but not heard back yet. Updated to IOS7 last night so gives me chance to adapt to that then compare my lowly 4 with a 5s.

I got a 5S earlier, mostly predictable and unremarkable, slightly faster, slightly better screen, slightly better camera.

1 stand out feature that I thought was going to be a gimmick/unreliable is the finger/thumb sensor in the home button to unlock it.

On first impressions it feels like a game changer. It works brilliantly and will make punching in a code or joining up dots seem like a waste of time. Think how often you unlock the phone in one day.

Yes. I hate to think how much of my life is wasted swiping my thumb across a screen. I dare say it all adds up to at least a minute at the end of the year. Just think if I could have that time back.

I'm sticking with my 5 but I have picked up one of the new leather cases that they have released wider the 5/5s. It's very nice.

I ordered a grey 5S 64gb on the internet yesterday as an upgrade to my iphone 4, said delivery would be in 3 days. I hope this date is correct and not guff!

i know what you mean about the 4 being ok, no need to upgrade, but its just getting sloooooww!

I had the iphone 5 previous to 5c and feel this is a littler better imo.
It has a bigger battery, better facetime camera amongst other minor upgrades. Feels nice in your hand and is no way chealy made. It's solid and looks good.

I believe this will be a hit with the younger generation, i mean what kid ain't gonna want a cool looking phone thats gonna get noticed.

Kids that notice a 5c or a 5s won't notice the cost, just a lesser phone..

The same kind of dreadful children that bullies a kid because his daddy doesn't have a Porsche but has a more expensive m5..

It's image not cost to them sort of children! Unfortunately it happens with adults too.. It's status..

You will find people with the 5s looking down their nose at 5c owners..

5c is a waste of money. It's just an old 5 with a higher price tag and a lower bill of materials. What a joke.

The 5s got a massive price hike thanks to the introduction of a "cheaper model" that costs the same as the old premium model. The processor is much better, but I'm not sure it justifies near £100 increase in price. The rest....well there isn't a lot else is there. OMG but I can unlock it with my finger?!!?! This isn't even new technology. Laptops had this rubbish years ago, and still do. The novelty wore off quickly, it's really not that great and certainly not worth paying for.
