Alpina flash for 01/07 build
What needs to be done so that I can do the alpina flash to my January '07 build since it doesn't comply currently to do so.
Thank you in advance. |

valve body and mechatronic swap I think.
Sammy did a DIY on it, but for different purposes.

And just as an FYI, I don't think you'll be able to ever have a dealership do any coding/programming on the car after you swap the mechatronics module. I don't know this for sure, but based on plenty of experience with control modules that aren't "supposed" to be installed on a certain car, I'd say so.
If you do your own coding or don't plan to ever go to a dealer for anything, then don't worry about it.

I don't feel like I can consider upgraded turbos for an auto without the flash flash being done at the same time or before. |

It's too bad the Mechatronics are so expensive. I'm sure you can find one used for cheaper, but they retail for ~$2700 + fluid. I'd like to have the Alpina software on my car, but I'm in the same boat as you.

Didn't realize it was so much. That is the cost of upgraded turbos. Maybe I will just continue my search of a 6 speed 335icoupe in the same condition that I kept mine for 4 years to transfer my parts over and go bigger turbos. And I thought I made the right purchase 4 years ago. Wish i bought a 6 month newer car with an oil cooler as well

I helped Jason in Tenn find a trans for $400 that was in a flood, but the MCM was still good as far as I know. He ordered another trans just to be on the safe side. Check out car-part.com and see if you can find a used transmission to rob the valve body and MCM from. You can put your old mcm and valve body back in and sell it as a pre 03/07 transmission. Might get your money back if you list it on eBay.
If you get the parts, look me up and I'll help you with all the software and coding. |
