Active Autowerke 335 Intercooler Production Kit Pictures & Details ( Incl. IAT Temps)

Hello Board,

We have finalized our Active Autowerke Intercooler kits and we are ready to begin shipping for all of those who placed pre orders. Sorry for the delay

**We were able to do some testing today to get you the Intake Air Temperature results that many of you were requesting.**

Note: All testing was done on the same day, same car, same dyno.

Tested on the Active Autowerke Mustand Dyno to Log Intake Air Temperatures

Stock Intake Air Temp Tests:

These are three back to back runs on our 335 with the stock intercooler.

AA Intercooler Equipped Tests:

These are three back to back runs on our 335 with Active Autowerke Intercooler Kit installed.

Comparison: Two Hottest Runs ( Active Autowerke Intercooler vs Stock )

These are the results from our hottest run with the stock intercooler and with our Active Autowerke Intercooler.

335 On Dyno with Active Autowerke Intercooler:

Here are results from previous testing on dynojet ( Dyno chart show the car equipped with Active Autowerke Intercooler maintains power on back to back runs )

Active Autowerke Intercooler Kit- $1195

That was the introductory pricing. Seem people were put on a list and they get to have the first batch which arrived recently. AA does have them in stock and are currently being shipped out.

Good data. Thx for posting.

I'm not sure why anyone would go to all the work and trouble involved with the R&D & Marketing of an aftermarket performance product and not take the extra small step of getting/posting data to quantify the gains.

Impressive data. That's how it should look like (at least). I just wonder if it would not be more effective w/o that part of the radiator, which is hidden behind the bumper. That part remains hot because of the lack of air to cool it down, right? So the air passing throu that part remains hot, too, no?

IMO..This was not a real world test. When will you guys post results from tests using the re-assembled front end??

good job! I liked how detailed you were in the temp testing. I like it!

Dont have a 335i, but I think your price is a little high....
I do not know how much you invested in research and developement, but I can tell you that if you sell this product at 899.00 you will sell a ton of those

Good luck!

As long as the front was apart for both stock and aftermarket intercooler runs then the data is a fair representation.
those runfiles arent for the IC testing there from just plain dynos

provided that the test was legitimate the results would likely be emphasized on the road, this isnt really an upgrade for grandma though, its for people who push their cars hard often

they arent going to be any different unless one cooler failed enough for the charge air to heat to the point of a lot of timings being pulled, or one cooled the charge off enough to add in a lot of timing

also just FYI, even with a good amount of pulled timing and the reslting increase in EGTs... your oil temp still isnt going to go up (or the other way around either)

My guess is that the results would be significantly less dramatic if the front was together. This would help the consumer determine the "real world" cost/benefit .

The front bumper wouldnt make the test more "real world"... The dyno fans will always be pointed at the IC whether the bumper is on or off.
