Question Switching paddles

Sup E90 wot, wot, wot. Ok I have pre LCI all chrome paddles on my steering. I have purchased the extended paddles from mod my 3 series company. Question I like the push pull function of the all chrome paddles and was wondering how to disassemble the shifter and custom fit the paddles. It can be done with a little welding and some JB weld. I just want to know how to take apart the paddles without breaking anything. I will saw off the chrome nub then weld in the extended paddles or drill nut and bolt and JB weld. Any comments for this project would be luv. It can work just need a little guidance. Thank you my friends E90 ride till I die
