How do you reset the steering angle sensor on E92?

So i replaced my steering wheel and must have messed up the steering angle sensor. I knows thats my issue since i have the the 3 warnings (ABS, DTC and Start Assist) plus Cruise Control doesn't work.

Also my signal does not turn off when i use it so its forsure the issue.

I have read that you just start the car, turn the wheel all the way left, then all the way right, then drive straight and its suppose to be reset.. Didnt work for me. Am i suppose to go full lock a few times in both directions then drive straight?

I also have a BT tool, but there is no reset in the tool. Any help is appreciated. Dont want to pay BMW when i can do it myself.

Thanks!

I have never known a steering angle sensor be reset with full lock to lock and drive it striaght, I'm 99% sure it will need recalibration using a diagnostic machine!

Some one will be along soon to confirm.

Nope, i had the BMW Performance V1 wheel and went back to my stock sport wheel.. I unwired everything and changed the coil spring and steering wheel. Thats it... So i dont know why its become an issue all of sudden.

I had the same issue when I replaced my clock spring. Paid around like $60-100 to a shop and they re-programmed it and all is fine now. Dealer will most likely charge you more though.

When I did the paddle shifter retrofit, the instructions were a bit confusing so I ended up not plugging in some wires and that was causing my problems

Did your paddle shifters work though? Which retrofit kit did you use?
