CPO warranty extension question
My car is a 10-2007 build date BMW 328i Coupe.
I purchased it recently and it is under the CPO warranty until 11-2013 but I would like to purchase an extension if it is worth it/available to me??? I have never owned a car under warranty (has 40k miles) and am not sure what exactly is or isnt covered if someone can chime in!! Also I am having a problem with the seat belt extender driver side cracked and fell out and passenger side does nothing I hear whining motor sounds from that general area is this covered under warranty if not is it costly repair?? Thanks so much picture of my baby! Going to do BMW performance exhaust/LCI tails with some new wheels but I cant decide on a set looking for staggered all black wheel with white face! |

My car is a 11/06 build and same thing, I am covered through 11/13. I HAVE NEVER USED THIS 7/100 BMW EXTENDED WARRANTY ONCE. What a waste of my money. I guess despite how "scary" and "unreliable" the 335i is according to this forum, the bean counters at BMW win! My car proved this forum wrong (how many other people's cars did the same, only they don't want to admit they also never used the extended warranty?)
There is no such thing as an extension. (gosh, do you think the bean counters planned it that way? lol) No, the seat belt extender is not covered, and yes it is expensive. The part alone is $380, or at least it was 3 yrs. ago. |

I meant the EVP (Extended Vehicle Program thingy?)
I am way under 100k miles but my 6 year deadline is in about a month on CPO warranty. Am I eligable to purchase the Platinum/Gold extended service plan? |

I must be confused then read the brochure that says 1 to 3 yrs of extra coverage for a total of 7yrs.
If my coverage was only for 6yrs how come I cant extend it for another year?? I thought even if I already had the 7yr plan I could upgrade it for more time! |

The 6 or 7 yrs. is from the in-service date. I have a 7/100 Gold, which covers me to 7 yrs. from when my car was originally delivered. It extended the warranty by 3 yrs, picking up from when the original 4 yr. factory warranty expired....

I have a contact at BMWNA that i will get in touch with and also can ask the local dealer about the warranty maybe they can work with me and extend it some way as im only at 40k!!
If in fact CPO is not eligable for an extension would the CarMax extended warranty program be the best? Or what RELIABLE AFTERMARKET options for warranty do i have?!? Once again thanks for all the help this forum is a blessing! |
