Unhappy

ok, after having a "service engine" light come one, dropped by auto zone to have it checked out. Well, it showed 3 codes not sure if it was wrong errors codes showing up with "volkswagen" and "chrysler"?

P2402 - DMTL Pump or atleast dealing with the pump
P1124 - ?
P1197 - ?

a quick search on, "old faithful" e90 Forum, found P2402 as DMTL pump, so need to see about troubleshooting it further. The other 2

So my question is, does anybody have any information on P1124 or P1197?

Autozone guy, just said to take it to a mechanic, not much more assistance than that so here is some info off the tickets he printed out

How serious does this look like? Only thing in common is "oxygen sensor? troubleshooting? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Why not take your BMW to a KIA dealer. Autozone is not a place for a performance car.

lol, like a bmw is somehow holier than any other car. autozone will at least read codes for free (or at least they used to) so you have an idea of what's going on.

I can see where this would be very helpful, like if you had a coil go out, but didn't know which one. You could have autozone read the code for you and then sell you a new coil you could install in their parking lot.

Yes, seems like auto zone, best they can do is give you the code? which is what i was looking for, i asked him, how many o2 sensors do the cars have 2,4, 20 sensors? he had no answer, i asked about prices and he said between 43-170$, but couldn't help me any further in identifying which one, so not much help aside from getting the codes.

After reading the thread i posted, here is a post there, so is the B1S2 sensor on the bottom of the engine, needing a lot of removal of parts? can someone confirm, the B1S2 sensor is a pain to replace? looks like, thanks

So, when you removed the B1S1 sensor, did you have to remove anything that had to do with steering rack or tie rod? My Bentley manual said 'remove the right tie rod from the steering rack'

Also, was removal of the sensor fairly straightforward --- or did you really have to work at it or use the big breaker bar?

I bought an off-set type sensor socket --- is that what you use?

Thanks in advance EFT!
You must be talking about the B1 S2 O2 sensor then. The Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the O2 sensor in the top of the front exhaust manifold (cylinders 1, 2, 3) that you can easily see on the right side of the engine. This this for an N52 of course, which is the engine in your car. I have both types of sockets (off set and deepwell-split). Either should work.

I did my sensor just after the time Eninty posted the DIY and the price for the OEM sensor (B2 S1) was $55 from Tischer.

Did you you see my post above yours which points to it not being an O2 sensor?

those times when 2 people are writing a post, 1 is writing the answer and the other still has another questions, then posts with no refresh, and the answer is a waiting. lol

thanks for the post on the "DMTL" showing high, is that high voltage/current? and on the "Differential Pressure Sensor" is the an adjustment needed OR plain defective? any part number listed? Thanks again for the help in looking that up off to research some more

Anybody have any idea if the 2 are related?

Get the actual BMW codes read. They're more specific than the generic OBD2 codes.

I would just try to replace the Differential Pressure Sensor itself and start from there since it is a fairly cheap part. I have a feeling the DMTL issue is a separate issue.

I believe it is part number 13628617097 if your car is a 2006 325i E90 as listed.

No. 12
