Black border e90 grilles

Hey guys, so i was wondering if anyone has ever kept the kidney grille slats chrome on a pre lci e90, and only blacked out the borders. I saw it on an lci and loved it but I have never seen it on a pre lci. Anyone? or at least a pic.

Not bad, but it wouldn't fit in on my car. I have no more "metallic" finish on anything except the exhaust tips and actively looking to swap them out for black ones too.

That's exactly what I was hoping to do with mine. Looked like the "chrome" separates from the other piece so I should be able to just plati-dip one piece and get that look, correct?

Thanks in advance.

Looks awesome. I might have to do that instead of the all black.

Yeah, it separates. If you're plastidipping then its easier to just mask off the slats. I wrapped mine with vinyl.
