Black sharpie it, chances are good it will happen again. Just remember from now on these cars aren't as long as a truck so it's perfectly fine to be a foot or two from the curb.

I did the same thing the other week, but thankfully the damage was on the underside of my bumper so it's hard to see. I felt sick about it though!

Alot of that will buff out...A black sharpie as suggested above should work fine too.
FWIW a respray of a bumper around here is $300 USD and I live in the 2nd most expensive state. I wouldn't bother respraying that bumper. |

Take a clay bar to that and see how much buffs out, you’ll be surprised.

What is scraped in the pic, did the bumper fall off? I can see a car and lampost in the background....at our work one of the owners scraped his Porsche on a concrete block for a lampost. It generated a co-wide email to be careful. One of my colleagues said why can't they wrap those posts with silk pillows so this doesn't happen again....

That sucks dude. The corner of my front bumper actually chipped off but its not that noticeable considering its the size of like a plum idk what to compare it to. I'm replacing mine with an msport soon so it doesn't bother me. But you can get yours touched up at a paint shop.

I bought a cheapie ebay front lip and riveted it on for this reason. I DD my car so this is bound to happen at one time or another. When the lip gets beat to a pulp, i'll just pop the rivets and buy another lip. I'd be out 70 bucks but it beats ~400 bucks worth of body work.

I'd sand it and respray the spot. You can buy the paint from many sources for about $20 plus your need plastic primer and clear coat and some 600-2000 wet sand paper. $50 and it will look new.

That sucks man, but it's happened to all of us at one time or another. Most of those scratches should come out with a good compound, I wouldn't waste the money on a new bumper for that.

I dont think much of it will buff out. The bumper is made of plastic and when it scratches like that, its done for good. If it were paint transfer from a car hitting you, that be worth while to see how much it would buff out.
