2 non-RFT options: Bridgestone Potenza RE050A or Pirelli PZero Rosso on 313 Rims
So am getting a deal on a set of 313 rims from the dealer however my two options for non-RFTs are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A or Pirelli PZero Rosso.
Online reviews would indicate the Bridgestones are slightly better but after having the RFT version which were poor I somewhat don't know if I believe that? http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Pi...Zero-Rosso.htm http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Br...nza-RE050A.htm Thought's? I am probably leaning towards the Pirelli's... Note: the deal includes alloys and tyres so I am constrained. Delaler offered RFTs also, but no thanks!

I have used the P-zero Rossos on my 335i and the RE50's on my 997 and 1 series so not at all a fair comparison.
But what i can say is in the dry the P Zero's provide more grip but i hated them in the wet. Whereas the RE50's work well in all conditions. If i had to choose one i would go for the non RFT RE50's. I think they are a better all round tyre for British weather. Given a choice i would always go for Michelin Super Sports on any car now though. Last edited by DarkAnt335i; 09-03-2013 at 11:25 AM.. |

Interestingly feedback I got elsewhere was the opposite, however your feedback would concur with the reviews online. Probably should never ask these questions really.

I agree, you'll get loads of differing 'opinions'. Partly due to subjective feel and partly due to the way each person drives.
Just pick what you like the look of really or whatever is cheaper, they are probably very similar performance in most situation. Both are Premium quality tyres. Although you haven't said the MPSS are an option. Nothing works quiet like a set of MPSS try to talk the dealer into letting you get those on. They are noticeably better than any other tyre i've used. |

Believe it or not I have actually had a set of both Goodyear f1 assy2's and ps3's on a Mazda MPS The f1's where pretty good from what i can remember but i didn't really like the PS3's. |

Most tyre threads on here boil down to PS3s, f1 assy 2s and and conti 5ps. Ive not tried the ps3 but had conti 5ps and the f1s. In all honesty i prefer the f1s BUT there really aint that much in them.

Went with Pirelli's in the end, so far so good!
FYI - I am hearing dealers are starting to offload the 313's hence why I got such a good deal.
