hi vu, check out my thread as I'm running e39 M5 replicas for my winter setup:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7891

Others have the same wheels and there are no fitment issues with 330i (larger brake rotors) so I'm sure it will be fine on your 325i.

I'm running the same wheels as well.

Mine are 17/8, 225.45 all around (with Dunlop M3 DSST winter tires).

I love mine.

yeah, bimmerista and i have the exact same setup.

I believe the offset is +38 but I'm not positive. And because the wheels are the same 17x8, the rear wheels do appear "tucked in the body" and the look would be improved with the use of spacers. The fronts look fine but the rears could be improved. I've read some bad things about running big spacers (say 20+mm) in that they may put undue strain on the suspension but "your mileage may vary".

If you run 18", you may be able to find a staggered setup say 18x8 up front and 18x8.5 at the rear and that would look good.

Make sure the replicas are the correct offset, though... E39 rims will not fit due to their extreme offset (+20). Make sure that they are the +38's.

Several people are running rear wheels with a 20mm offset. They stick out about 5mm, but they fit relative to bolt pattern. In sport package cars and lower, 20mm will likely rub the fender. ACS is making their e90 9.5" rear wheels with a mid 20's offset - not high 30's.

IMO, the optimum offset for the rear with 9.5" inch wheels is 27-28mm.

e39 M5 rims on e90 325i

I am not clear on the verdict...

So what would be the harm of putting e39 M5 double spoke style 65 rims on the e90?

The e90 stock rims have an offset of 34 all around and these are 16x7 rims with 205/55/16 tires. The e39 rims have an offset of 20 at the front (18x8.5 rim with 235/35/18 tires) and offset of 24 at the back (18x9.5 with 275/35/18 tires).

Would these rims wind up harming the car mechanically? Is it a question of them not fitting properly (rubbing/turning radius)? Is it a question of aesthetics?

Please provide your feedback as I may be purchasing these rims from a local seller this week.

Thank you

e39 has a larger hubcenter must other BMWs, incl. the e9x. 74.1mm vs 72.6mm. So you need some hubcentric rings.

And ET20 and ET24 is rather aggressive for an e90.
