Does this mean I'm banned from a website?

Website is still active and when logged in I get that message. Clear cookies and cashe and I can view the site not logged in.

I upset one of the mods this morning who was very misleading when trying to sell a phone.

He was saying it could be unlocked for £5 and has warranty.

I politely pointed out that Orange only unlock after 6 months and it costs £20.42.

The post was quickly deleted and the original post was edited after people had put forward bids and the thread was on page 2.

Since he is admin there is no sign the original post has been edited.

Now on the back of this I can't log in. Has he banned me?

I've no messages or emails.

Never had a warning before.

If it was for a Samsung it's still for sale though none of your posts are there. Do you want me to bid on it for you lol.

It is the S4 mini.

I did see Shaun had removed my posts.

My post was fair too. He was misleading potential buyers about unlocking.

My post was just to clear that up and he has obviously taken exception to that.

I rarely buy anything from DW. Most things are vastly overpriced.

Sounds like he's abusing his position as a mod

Exactly what he has done.

He does it all the time. He will warn people about going off topic and give them a warning. He will then post off topic in the same thread and lock it when others opinions differ from his.

The most useless mod I've seen on any forum.

Try
http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/ instead! Loads of great products and the forum is good for reviews of products too

I would have thought if you were banned you could bring up the site but when you log in receive a message that your banned.

Seems like your IP is banned completely from even accessing the site.

Its working fine for me. My guess is that he has altered a DB link or similar and a calling thread still thinks it should be there.

Hence its a problem for you, but nobody else.

Can you still browse the site if you don't log on as you?

If I clear all cookies and cache that logs me out of the website.

I can view the website fine but as soon as I log in, it tells me thanks for logging in and then goes to the server error.

There was a contact us at the bottom of the page and I've emailed them.

Yes still fine to look when not logged in.

When I click on my user name whilst not logged in, it still shows as a green dot as if I'm logged in.

shows you as offline currently. I'd still put it down to the mod screwing up bulletin rather than being banned. Its not a clean failure state.

I don't understand the technical jargon or what that means.

I emailed the server administrator that was on the server error at the time and nothing has been done. I did email not so long ago through "contact us" but I'm still frozen out.

Hopefully someone will deal with it soon.

I take it there is nothing I can do to clear it?

Bunch of self indulged obsessed maniacs on there...well some of them! Great site and great info but sooner or later people become so engrossed and full of self worth its pointless being on there for anything else other than keeping ontop of the latest and best products to use

no, its an internal server error. the forum software is expecting a link to a posting (probably the on you said was removed) I put my money on the mod doing it inadvertently through a lack of knowledge rather than anything more sinister.

Agree with you 100%.

This numpty stands out of the crowd:

Prefer the clean your car forum as there are no 'fanboys' of certain manufacturers.
