Taking car in for service with G-M intake

Just a quick question. I've got the G-M replica intake, and my car is due for service. I think I should probably put the original back in right?

I'm just too lazy to switch it back and forth.

I wouldnt get caught with a replica air intake... I would change it out if you dont have a good relation with your service advisor. Other than that you will be fine.

I don't think that they could ever prove a different air intake caused an engine problem. If you want to be totally safe take it off but I'd think it's like an exhaust, nearly impossible to cause a problem.

My car has alot of parts that are modified already and my SA is cool with it. I wouldnt worry about it and just bring it in. They cannot determine that your CAI is the problem

Back when I had my E46 I use to bring it in for service with a GruppeM intake (among other mods), and they were fine with it. I also use to tip my SA 10 bucks everytime I shook his hand when I brought my car in for service so that probably helped. Sometimes you need to grease the wheels to make them turn smoothly.
