E90 BMW OEM Short Shift Kit smoother??
So I've had my SSK (BMW Performance) for a year or so now (coupled with a clutch stop and a CDV delete) and am looking for a bit of a smoother shift operation.
The SSK is a LOT shorter than normal and is very fun to drive but is getting tiring in stop and go traffic now.. especially first to second gear is sometimes hard to engage and takes a toll on my palm. I've driven friends cars with the SSK as well and it felt the same as mine.. Any ideas as to what I can do here to smoothen the shifts and make it easier on me? I'm becoming an old man

Transmission Fluid Swap helped me a bit. I swapped with royal purple and when i first drove with the new fluid the shifts were noticable smoother. still notchy but it was engaging better than before.
From what i can remember, anyhow

I have the same set up as you but with the UUC kit. My is smooth with just a touch of noticheness. Occasionally it will be difficult to put into 1st gear but easing out on the clutch a bit takes care of it. You might try changing your fluid depending on mileage. I used Royal Purple.

You might also try a heavier weighted shifter.
