I read a post here not long ago about some folks experiencing hesitations on acceleration and flat spots. I have been getting these on and off for awhile now and have noticed a slight decrease in performance recently. Cars been to the dealer about it but no fix. I use 93 octane and have been using octane boost and cleaners regularly. I even ran a half tank of 105 race fuel to clear everything out. With direct injection I doubt the cleaners will do much good and I still haven't seen much improvement.
Someone mentioned they used sea foam and it worked quite well. Could someone point out where to pour/spray the sea foam into the vaccuum line on a 328 N26? I don't need an argument about sea foam I just need someone who's successfully ran the cleaner through the intake to chime in for me. Thanks guys! |

Seafoam
Just put in directly in your gas tank.

Seafoam
I guess I didn't understand. If you put it in the gas tank, wouldn't it travel through the injection system. I've used it and I'm a believer for sure.

Guys as far as Sea Foam goes, is there a maximum recommended frequency of use?
With their recommendations, 1oz per gallon means 1 full bottle for the car's 60 Litre tank. How many KM's between uses would be recommended? Once every oil change makes sense, but I don't want to overdo it if there can be potential harm to gaskets, rings etc.. (even though their product literature says it's safe for those components). |

I just put 1 bottle in each of my 2013 328x and my 2008 528x. Let's see how it works out. |
