I saw this on a German car website and wanted to share. Could this be real?

Nice find. Jason said the first official i8 s white, so this could be a render based on the concept car. Nevertheless, looking good!

This is clearly a photoshop based on the concept which is, in some places, close to the real deal.

The clue is in the door opening it does not cut although down to the front wheel arch , nor does it extend to the sill.

You don't slide into an i8 like the i3 , you have to step in but you sit very low like in a Sports car..

A lot of us thought the same thing. It turns out that was a reference to the X5 eDrive which was posted on Bimmerpost on the 22nd

We have to wait until the Frankfurt autoshow in mid September.

Yeah, Scott needs to update his sig with the date that "performance becomes futuristically electrifying!"
