Where is the CD Changer connection in the 07 Z4? PHOTOS

So I installed my DICE Ipod connector in other BMWs and they worked great. Now that I'm trying to install it on the Z4 I'm thoroughly confused as to where the CD changer cables are. Here are some photos.

I also don't see any area where I can pass through a cable to the passenger area...?

Look at first photo. It's the cable going into the access area in the middle. Mine had the connectors trapped by the bracket and the plastic molding. Had to use a screwdriver to pry a little clearance so they would come out.

Alright so is the area I marked red correct?

So I just pulled this out and it's bundled in there?

How did you pass through the ipod cable/aux cable into the passenger area?

That's the cable. It may be stuck when you try and pull it out. I had to pry some clearance to get it to come out. I didn't route anything into the passenger compartment. I was hooking up a Soundgate Sirius interface that's mounted in the trunk.

Very interesting, I googled that and it seems the Sirius package for that solution is about $200 instead of the BMW OEM solution which is closer to $500... How well does that work for you and where did you mount the antenna?

Right now it's on the trunk. Will likely move it to a more stealthy location. The sound quality is much better than through the Aux port. The only drawback is the readout is only displays the channel number, no artist, song info, etc. Since I only listen to a few channels it wasn't a big deal to me, certainly not worth another $400 or so. I had my Blitzsafe adapter with XM Direct in it for a while which gives a full readout, but I wanted my Jimmy Buffet on Sirius 31.

Which model was it? The only Soundgate products I see are up to model year 2005 BMWs.

This one:

Soundgate KBMWSIRV2 1996-2005 BMW-to-Kenwood Sirius Tuner/CD Changer Multi-Purpose Interface
KBMWSIRRegular Price: $129.95LOGJAM Price: $99.95

I used the Blitzsafe adapter that was in my 05 Mini Cooper S as a trial. Since it worked I figured the the Soundgate would. I contacted Soundgate and they said they hadn't tried it in an 07. I took a chance and it worked. I e-mailed them and told them it worked OK. I used a DEI SIR-KEN1. My car doesn't have NAV. I don't know if it will work with NAV.

Alright, I think I'm gonna have to remove the plate. It's impossible to get that cable out without feeling like I'm damaging something.

Anyone know how to get through the little pass through in the center armrest area?
