My new 335xi coupe!!
I finally picked up my 335xi coupe! I'm very happy and impressed with the car overall!!!
Now, I know people post "worthless without pics"... and, since everyone posts the same pictures - I decided to post my 335 with its garage-mate. Enjoy! |

Gorgeous. (both of them). I really like the rims on the 08 xi. Nicer than my 07. Have fun!!

The e92 looks like a monster next to the 308.. How do you like it so far?

awesome, ive been searching all over to see some pics of the 335xi coupe - im assuming those are just the stock 17" wheels? It actually looks pretty sweet, the tire gap isnt bad at all! That was my main concern when I put an order down, but your car looks great... can you post some more pics?

1. It's smooth (almost to the point of being boring). I've owned lots of sports cars - and the BMW is, by far, the most refined... but it sacrifices some of that "animal intensity" in that process. 2. I hate the clutch. I've been driving standards for 30 years... and I feel like a newbie with this one! It takes quite a bit of feathering and rev-matching to keep necks from snapping... I may be a candidate for the CDV mod I've seen on the boards. 3. This thing has an amazing power curve! Nice acceleration and almost zero turbo lag. It pulls strongly through all the gears and has a great exhaust note! 4. It handles nicely - although, honestly I haven't had a chance to push it yet - I suspect it will have the usual short-comings of most AWD cars... but, so far it feels tight, but I feel a bit disconnected from the road (as compared to the Ferrari)... the speed sensitive steering is a nice feature. 5. The stereo is really nice! It presents a crisp sound that I'm not accustomed to in a car system - the cabin really comes alive with the music and many of the subtleties of the music stand out! 6. Fit and finish of the car are wonderful. Nice solid engineering - none of the "plastic" feeling in the interior. Controls are logically placed and easy to navigate. Although, I'm not crazy about the turn signal + speed control... but, I'm sure I'll grow used to their placement and usage over time. 7. The PDC is a nice feature, although I would have preferred a visual to match the sound - to show actual proximity. 8. I love the headlights. Super bright and the adaptive feature is quite useful. 9. The sports seats are incredible! Now, I've read the debates about size and comfort... and I was a bit worried because I'm a big guy (6'0 and 220) - but I have to say these seats fit me perfectly! I'm very happy with them! Those are my initial impressions... after only 100 miles. I'll post more after I've had a time to really get used to the car. |

It has the leatherette interior. After reading the hundreds of posts debating the pros and cons of leather vs leatherette - I opted for the leatherette for the longevity and ease-of-ownership.
I've spent countless hours treating leather seats - and, quite frankly, I didn't want to have to rub cow hide on this car... |

Can I drive your 'other' car while you're getting acquainted with the 335xi?
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised regarding the lack of expected shortcomings regarding the BMW AWD, but I'm anxious to read what you have to say once you get a chance to drive it faster/harder. Lord knows these 335's, vixens that they are, like it hard and fast. |
