Timing, boost and throttle look great but your fuel trims are maxing out in the midrange which is something that I have not seen with any Stg0/Stg1 logs. Are you still running stock LPFP? Are you getting any other code that would suggest fuel pump issues?

Have you been running ethanol mixes?

Always run 93 octane. Never ran any ethanol mixes ever. Never had any codes related to fuel pump and I check regularly once a month. LPFP is stock.

Original LPFP with 80k miles or have you replaced it before? Either way, please send me your Stg0 rom file (shiv@vishnutuning.com) and reference this thread so I know what I'm looking for. I'll check it out and make and, if necessary, make a little adjustment for you

Original LPFP that I know of. I've owned the car since 54,000 miles.

What is the fix for maxed out fuel trims? Is this basically robbing power?

Thanks for the support!! I will send over my file.

There are a few ways you can fix maxed out fuel trims in the rom file. You can change HPFP targets, injector scaling, fuel compensations, etc,. But in this case, I'd be more interested in seeing why it is happening in the first place. The problem sometimes with these cars is that a component often has to come close to failing before triggering a code that would help when it comes troubleshooting. It may be worth checking your service history to see if the LPFP was replaced prior to your purchase because, at 80k miles, it's bound to be compromised if it's original. It's also worth check to see if your car has any open recalls (HPFP, injectors, etc.) Because any of those can also cause what you are seeing in your logs. But i'll check the rom file first to see if there is anything that jumps out at me.

After troubleshooting with Shiv, looks like my fuel trims even on the stock tune are maxing out during a 3rd gear wot pull. Looking for any good recommendations for troubleshooting. Was thinking of swapping out LPFP first. Below is the datalog for my stock tune.

Did some more logging with the bavarian tech tool on my stock tune to look at LPFP pressures and fuel rail pressures. I believe my LPFP pressures are on target at about 72 psi +/- 2; however, my fuel rail looks to be dropping pressure from 2600 psi to 2000 psi while WOT. Maybe I have an HPFP problem. Not showing any codes though. Anyone know what pressures trigger HPFP codes? I've never had any signs of a bad HPFP...

If your LPFP pressure is pegged at maximum (72psi), that can be a sign of lpfp sensor failure.

I beleive it defaults to maximum pressure by default when it fucks up.

when that sensor fails your low pressure fuel pump will be commanded on at 100% duty cycle, giving you maximum fuel delivery to your high pressure fuel pump at all times.

Most of the time it was at 72 psi. I ran some stats on my values and the avg is 73psi, min was 63, and max was 85 for the whole log which included some idleing, WOT, and normal driving. I did find a TSB for LPFP troubleshooting and I believe it mentioned if you hit 4.75 bar (68.8 psi) it passes the test. Based on these results it seems like its in good condition.

Well, I decided to reset some adaption values. I reset secondary air, throttle adaptions, Air Fuel Ratio, intake manifold, and air control using the bav tech tool. Then I drove it around for 5 miles. I decided to also clean the T-MAP sensor and manifold MAP sensor with some electronics cleaner. Soaked them preety good since they were coated in oil.

I ran another log of a 3rd gear WOT run on my stock tune and it appears the my fuel trims are stabilizing. This may change after the car adapts but hopefully not.

Loaded the OFT Stage 0 tune back up and fuel trims are still holding well.

Good. Is that the standard Stg0 tune or the revised one I gave you (with adjusted fuel scalars)?

I went back to the original stage 0. Should I switch to the revised one?

No, i think you are fine with the standard file. Also I think you are plotting fuel trim bank 1 and fuel trim bank 2 with different max/min scaling values. Which makes them look unequal. Or at least that is what it appears.

I think the scaling is the same. Fuel Trim for bank 1 is a bit higher.

Thanks again Shiv for the support

Definitely not the same scaling. You can see that Bank1 trim from 20 to -30 and Bank2 trim from 40 to -30

All you need to do is click on the channel name in the bottom left hand window and press the letter "P". Make sure autoscale is off and then set both trims so that they range from -40 to -40 as it was in the default settings. This will be good for your viewing pleasure.

Wow Shiv you sure go out of your way to help everyone. I know its your business and all but the extra mile is impressive. I am new to the platform and was a little put off by how unprofessional a lot of vendors are on here.

I also have read enough between this forum and others to see how much flack your getting and its sad to see. I will say this. Keep doing what your doing and it will all play out. You offer not only good products but also you back them up with knowledge and good customer service. Don't let others bring you to their level. They seem to be desperate.

Customers want quality products, good service, and professionalism.

Thank you

Nice! I just installed stage 0 and have some logs to show Shiv. It has a ton of low end. Very fun to drive. I'll need more rubber soon.
