Not sure how you expect anyone to be able to help you out with the specific problem. Try going to autozone and having them read the error codes.

I would suggest that you drive with caution and have the system checked by the nearest BMW center.

Read the stored fault codes and post them here.

I am sure someone will able to help you if you provide more technical information.

Definitely sounds like the flux capacitor. I've seen the exact thing happen before. It tends to act up at around 88 MPH. If you can put a volt meter on it, it should read exactly 1.21 Jw. A little more or less and you will have problems.

Obligatory: don't drive that fast on public roads.

You're in a pretty heavily populated area, try to see if you can find someone who can pull the codes for you if you're not getting anything from a normal OBD reader. Until you know what the issue is, stay clear from those speeds.

There are so many different things that could be causing that error. For me it was a boost error. That doesn't appear to be the issue for you or else I imagine you would be seeing it more frequently than only going in excess of 100mph.
