Smile Custom Openflash/Procede e-Tuning and Dyno Tuning now available

Hi guys
Vishnu Tuning is proud to officially offer both e-tunes and in-house dyno tuning services for all OpenFlash and Procede users. See our website for prices and additional info.

8 Month "Open" Custom Tuning Support
For those who want a more customized tune with even more performance than our Off-The-Shelf (OTS) maps provide, this 8 month support contract includes ongoing datalog review/analysis and up to 12 customized tuning files. You simply email us the datalogs (as generated by the OpenFlash Tablet and/or Procede), and we provide you with custom tuned ROM/Procede files to match your needs, modifications and operating conditions. Compared to using our free OTS map files, expect more power, even smooth boost control and peace of mind knowing that your engine is tuned properly by actual tuning professionals and NOT by inexperienced enthusiasts. More importantly, we provide you with fully viewable custom tune files. Unlike some "Pro Tuners", we do not believe in hiding anything from our customers. You are paying for both performance and knowledge of what is being done to your vehicle.

In-House "Open" Custom Dyno Tuning
For those who are willing to make the drive to the Vishnu/FFTEC state-of-the-art dyno tuning facility (in Hayward, CA), let professional tuners Shiv Pathak and/or Sean Burgess apply their 30 years of cumulative professional tuning experience. This option is for those who want absolute maximum performance. Usually within 2 hours, you drive away with more power and better drivability. You also leave with tuning session catalogs and fully viewable custom tuning files. Tuning for multiple fuels may cost extra. Please call us for scheduling.

It was great meeting you guys. Thanks for making the long drive and, of course, taking me out to dinner

In return, all you got was this:

That was a 50/50 mix of E85/91oct with PWM meth. FBO 6AT with Procede+OpenFlash combo.

Once again.....torque is flat as a table.

So that was a backend fuel flash - not a stage 1 OTS modified map then?

Correct. It was running a custom ProcedeFlash. Started life as a standard ProcedeFlash but with a revised ignition advance (main) map and different fuel scalar (bank 1 and bank 2) values.

The Procede maps were adjusted to complement it.

And yes, the Openflash maps, even used as a backend flash, do something marvelous to the low/midrange torque. Almost feels like an electric motor in its smoothness

Is this service only available with the open flash tablet (particularly the in house dyno session)? Meaning that you wouldn't tune a person that has COBB ATR?

I don't know how to say this without getting flamed but the Cobb AP maps don't tune the same with as the OpenFlash maps. Ie, you run the same mapping in both platforms and the engine behaves very differently. In fact, if you port over a Cobb map to an Openflash Tablet, the car won't even start. Similarly, if you port over an OpenFlash map into a Cobb AP, the car will drive poorly and trigger codes. Cobb makes some changes to the DME rom that aren't disclosed in in the tables that you see in ATR. So custom tuning it doesn't involve the same simple process. Plus, I have a problem with fixing things that shouldn't be broken to begin with. So we will only support OpenFlash's open source mapping platform.

Why are we being charged $19 for an eTune shipping ? I want to order this... any reason there is a shipping cost if it is digitally being distributed?

There are no shipping charges for emails We just don't have our e-commerce program set up for non-shipping items. Ignore the shipping cost, you won't be charged for it when the order is processed (they are all processed manually, not automatically).

Hi Shiv,

If you need help on the e-commerce system let me know! Thanks I appreciate the clarification. You impress me more and more everyday Shiv! I am going to order this next Monday. I gotta swap injector 6 first and I'm getting $600 worth of maintenance done August 11th... What is the turn around time for a custom map/tune? Also, you will do 12 modified maps but, currently we can only upload 2 modified maps.... will this ever be updated to allow more modified maps?

Thanks,
Justin

Thanks for the offer Justin

Turn around times for E-tunes will depend on our work load. There is only me doing it and last time I checked, there is only one of me. So it could take a day or two after you send me a datalog that I sent you a custom-tuned map. As for the 12 map limits, that's just max number of maps revisions we will send you over that 8 month period. I don't recommend using them all up at once. Instead, spread them out over that period of time so you can run a newly custom-tuned map every time you add more modifications.

Hi Shiv,

I know but, will you ever allow the OpenFlashTablet to allow more than 2 modified maps at a time? What if I want a map more conservative and one more aggressive and then maybe a stage 0 just for something more conservative? Just something to consider... 3 total maps 1 being the stock just seems a bit low...

Thanks so much for all the information! A++++ for customer service!
