I am making this DIY because there is no information about it and I don't want other people will have the same problem as I had.

If your car is 2011 LCI and you have planning to add DCT paddle on your car, you need to add resistors. Here is quote from wanlong:

Add resistors as diagram sketch, it works without any issues.

I would like to put some photos how I add resistors on wires, but I am writing it after I finished to put DCT paddle on my car. I will take it off tomorrow to add LED paddle, so I will update it ASAP.

For those who might wanna try this in the future.
I can confirm my dct paddles are working perfectly on my lci.
Crappy soldering but you get the idea.

I know this thread is a bit long in the tooth.

I want to reply with my sincerest thanks for posting this information. I had to UNDO turning my DCT paddles from resistance-based to switch on-off and back to resistance-based for my 2013 LCI X5 x35i heated wheel non-sport.

These adapter jumpers with the resistors led me to to finally get paddles working. I made the final connection under the hood at a connector leading to the 8HP tranny.

Hello. I have a problem. I installed the M steering wheel with paddles from the F10 LCI 2015

My car is F01 pre LCI 2009 and the paddles don't work. The Coding is Correct.

Is the shift paddle resistance different from LCI to pre LCI?

What resistors do I need to use for the paddles to work?

Similar situation here. F10 wheel on a 2008 Pre-lci e92 non DCT so i would assume my original paddles aren't resistance triggered. i think that removing resisters and brigding the gap? Seems they also need to be grounded in the loop.
Anyone else had experience with similar?
