BuyOut Lease ... Help
Need some help.. My lease on my car is coming to an end in a month. I have a 2011 335 Msport Coupe, White on Red, Stick, Fully loaded. Here is the thing, im coming up on to almost 60k miles,I know. The buyout for my car is 34k. I know that if I were to get into another 335 I wont find this car with the color combo options and especially manual. I will owe about 3k or so for mileage that I am over. Car would be 34k plus tax so be about 37k. I know for the car with this kinda mileage is a lot. Minus the 3k I would owe to it, im back to 34k again lets say saving the 3k. Do you think it is worth it, to just buyout the lease for the price with the kinda miles I have? I was trying to find a 335is or another 335. Cant find anything with the options I want, possible color combo's with manual. Mods currently JB stage 1, ER Charge Pipe, BMS Intake, Scoops. If I bought out the lease. I would upgrade to stage 2, do DP and FMIC. What any one's thoughts. I know I can get a 2011 335 with 20-25k miles for the price of the buyout.
Thanks |

I just found a 335 cpe, white/coral, m-sport, nav, etc. cpo'd for way less on autotrader. Tell the dealer to tag on the cpo on your car and cut the cost of the mileage and you'll take the car. |

37k for 60k miles is 8k too much... If they throw in an extended 100k warranty it will still be too much...
If your color combo options is that important... Negotiate else let it go... |

That's a ton of money for a car with over 50K miles. I paid less for a CPO with 12K miles and still got a 6MT. It may take a bit of searching but I think you can definitely find a better deal.

This is why you should never lease, knowing you'll want to buy it out, and not keeping your mileage in check. The allure of low lease payments is very misleading.
I was actually looking at an '11 328 M Sport this weekend with about 20k miles. The asking was $32k. So that $34k number wouldn't be far off at the scheduled mileage for a 335. I'd see if you can work something out with the mileage penalty or get the dealer to CPO for you if you do buy out. The one upside of buying out is that you know the history of the car. Granted the extra mileage sucks, but at least you know if it's been a "good one" or a problem child. You just need to decide if that's worth the premium you'd be paying. The logical answer is to walk away from the car - no argument. |

Sounds to me like you've already made up your mind. The benefit of keeping your rare color combo outweighs the monetary cost (or at least appears to, based on your post).
I'm not sure what exactly you need help with. You know the costs, and you know the extent to which you place a premium on having a car with your desired options, so what's the problem? |

I also paid less for a CPO with 13.5k miles, 6MT and MSport. Not a good deal.
