Question is this a joke? Miltek exhaust

on the miltek site they clame to get 311.4 hp on stock 335i and after puting their exhaust they claim 323.8 hp ,this has to be a joke as i see everybody in this forum that did dyno is hiting arround 280 hp on average so how the hell did they get 311hp , even with RR DP you wont hit that on stock car, i thought that Miltek was a professional company , but either im wrong or they are not

Remember that in the UK(maybe europe too) we tend to consider HP at the crank. so their numbers are not too surprising.

Especially if they used some of correction factor + a perimistic transmission loss.

The difference however is what you should be looking at. i.e. 323.8 - 311.4 = 12.4 hp

at the wheel that would mean like 9 or 10 hp increase.

I'm pretty sure they mean 311 brake horsepower (power measured at the engine).

Dyno numbers don't really mean that much unless they have before and after numbers on the same day, same dyno.

335i is rated at 306bhp (in european standard horses). They getting 311bhp is very close to the announced considering that there are differences in individual cars and dynos.

The HP is similar to what I observed on my MINI after adding a Milltek catback exhaust- Great product.

Yep....

I was really mad back when Top Gear did a review of the GT500 and said that it didnt really come with 500 ponies because the WHP was less than 500. The BHP and WHP can get confusing and should be stated a little more often when quoting a HP rating...
