Will this blue cable work for my car?

2009 e92 335i

Someone locally is trying to sell me this cable for $30, don't wanna get scammed and get a non working cable.

This is the exact one:

Those eBay cables are very risky to buy as you never know what you get. If this guy is local to you I would drive over and see if the cable makes connection before you pay him. I seen many eBay cables sold that are defective. Best bet is to buy the cable from Onestopelectronics as they are 100% proven to work. While you can get lucky with some eBay cables they send out but the risk doesn't out weigh the reward to save a couple of dollars and save yourself the headache. But if I was you, I would drive out to the guy selling the cable to see if the car makes connection. Good luck

You can buy this one and I guarantee that it works with your car:

Don't need to pay 3x more, but it is only my opinion.

Bought the same cable and it works perfect. And OP can't you just test it out? Coding once everything is set up is a couple of minutes.

Damn, I wish I would have known about that when I bought mine from onestop. They want $100 for almost (mine is not gold plated) the same cable. The shipping document - coming from Hong Kong - has it insured for a value of $10!!! That's a 90% markup in value. WTF. lol

Live and learn I guess right?

Yes, IMO $99 for this cable is definitely exorbitant.

It is alot compared to the ones that ebay sells, but many links are just defective cable...If the link you say works, I believe you...I also had one of those ebay links that I started to recommend...They had shipped out working ones for many weeks and then all of a sudden the cables they sent out were no longer working...That was my experience with ebay links. After that I never recommend anything else than the Onestopelectronics one...

But like I stated if the link u says is working then ofcourse thats a value...

Yes, these cables form my link are really fine, never had any issues. I know that ebay sells a lot of "low quality" dcans, but this one is really fine.

I know that one stop has probably a bit better quality and their cables are always tested before shipping, but $65 more and 30 days delivering time is too much for me.

Of course it does. Maybe you have some problem with your USB port in your laptop?

Maybe you shouldn't wiggle it then? Especially not in the middle of a code. You're just asking for it after that.

No switched USB ports and still happens. And for the above user as much as I love to just wiggle my USB inputs in the middle of something important, this situation is completely unintentional
