Questions...

Hi All,

Is it possible to fit the E92 LCI climate panel with heated seat buttons into the pre LCI E92 dashboard? Would it then need coding at all?

Alternatively, is the climate control unit in a pre LCI car capable of running heated seats and just needs buttons adding to it to do so? Can you actually add buttons to a pre LCI unit? Would coding then be required?

If I install heated leather seats where would I get the wiring looms to run to the climate control?

Phew! thank that's it for now... hope there's a Guru or two out there!

Regards
Keith

Ok,
You can fit LCI climate control button with the heated seats built-in.
or
Pre-LCI climate control with additional heated seat buttons and trim.

Both of them will work as far as your car is coded for heated seats and wiring is there.

See above.
Every car need coding if heated seats were not fitted by factory.

You run them to fuse box and on the fuse box print, it should give you hint. Heated seats icon.
Onces thats done, coding allows those buttons to control the power going to those fuses / terminals and ultimately to heated seats.

HTH.

Pre-coding?

Hi,

Thanks for the responses so far guys, yet another sillly question...

Would it do any harm to have an LCI climate panel and heated seats coded BEFORE they are fitted?

Please don't laugh....

It will only give few errors which are not going to be displayed on the OBC, but can be read with the advanced code reader.

B/w I have LCI climate control with heated seats function if somebody wants it. I paid £50.

OK, anybody in the NW able and willing to code these in my car?

Incidentally I just bought an LCI climate panel off Ebay for £30... I get the seats next week.

Final question, as the replacement seats have memory unlike the originals, will this just work or again need coding?

Sorry for all the q's.

Anything which you add on (not factory option on your car) requires coding.

makkan00 Thanks, you are very helpful - pity you're not nearer the NW yourself!
