Any pot holes/Harsh ride issues on 19" wheels (F30) in SoCal/NorCal

Anyone has had damages on their 19 inch wheels in SoCal with their F30?

I drive to/in LA sometimes, and even otherwise some sections of US-101 are quite rough with light potholes and bumps.

I drive to the Bay area quite often as well. I-880, I-580, I-680, I-280, US-50 and all the several expressways there

I am considering the 403M style wheels but thinking I might feel like the ride will be too harsh or I will end up with lots of cosmetic damage on the wheels.

Does the ride quality/road noise change in anyway in Sport/Comfort modes?

Any experiences, very much appreciated.

So far so good here in the LA area. Rock chips have been my only issue (on the front of the car, not wheels)

Thank you! Do you have stock suspension /sports or M-sports performance or after market?

The stone/rocks from the evergoing construction and the construction trucks is just insane. I have been nicked so many times by some SUV or another car switching lanes and kicking up loads of crap right on the face of the car.

I hear you.

Right now I'm rollin' on stock M-Sport suspension (not M Performance) non-DHP and 403M wheels. The RFT make the ride a bit rougher than some might like but I'm used to it and it still feels 'like a BMW' to me.
