Exclamation JB4 meth,maps, and power

What's going on everybody?
Well to start off, I've been running my methanol kit for about two months now and until yesterday I've finally got the power/psi I've been looking for, since installation. When I first had the kit installed I was running a very low windshield washer concentration (~30/70) and it seemed that I was only hitting 15 psi on map 5, which I was getting anyways before the kit, and 14 psi on map 3 which I knew I wasn't going to see any big numbers, not until I got a higher concentration. As of two weeks ago, I've finally been able to get my hands on 100% meth. So after getting my first batch, I filled the tank up with 100% meth trying to extract as much power as I could from the jb4, but to my surprise I didnt get the results I was looking for. I increased the meth boost additive between 40-70 and switced between map 3 and 5 just to see the difference in psi, but I was getting the same numbers I did when I had the windshield wiper fluid so at this point I was pissed off trying to figure out why did I spend all this money to get the same bs bs results I was getting before I had the meth kit installed. So after being pissed off for some time, I read another post over the forums about someone mixing e85 and 93 pump gas, using map 7 on jb4 and getting around 17-18 psi. So at this point, I was like f*** it, what's the worst that could happen? Once I switched to map 7 and gave it some gas,WALA! I actually hit 17 psi on consecutively runs, which is what I've been looking to acheive since the beginning, but for some reason I'm still not able to get 18 psi, which is the max for the tune. Has anyone else had this problem such as not getting the required psi from the different maps?

did you increase the max boost?
Also do you have the bms kit with fsb or another flow sensor connected to jb4 for the adder? without it it wont boost higher. map 5 needs time to adapt as well to higher boost... which nozzle?

Yes, I increased the boost to max and I'm using the fsb, well at least,I think it was installed it came with the kit. That's probably the reason I'm not getting higher boost levels on map 3. As far as the nozzle, I'm not sure which one I'm using.

you have to log and see if you get meth flow. Seems you dont know much about the jb4 , you should read the stickies here http://www.n54tech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3

I've ran a few logs and the meth was flowing fine, I've even sent a few to Terry and let him give it a look. It's just that I wasn't getting the required boost from what the maps where advertising. As of now, I'm using map 7 which peaks out around 17 psi and its better than what I was getting but it's still not the max boost that I can get.

i would NOT run map 7 with only meth. be careful. post some logs here on map 3 and 7, the jpg with meth flow and other parameters.
if you dont get the boost is because you are probably dropping timings .

I didn't think meth flowed on map 7 anyways? Maybe I'm missing something.

Either way, I run a 75/25 meth/water by volume mix (closer to 70/30 meth/water by weight IIRC) on a 40 additive with 93 octane gas and I regularly see 17psi. Not sure why you aren't seeing more boost. Maybe post a log and csv file here and we can look at it?
