Pre-LCI Halogen Headlights - Parking Light as DRL

HI All

Before I go to the expense and time, can anyone confirm if is possible to recode so that the Day Time Running lights are the Parking Lights?

I have a 2006 323i (E90), which comes with halogen headlights and no angel eyes. When I switch to LCI Halogen Headlight housings, the parking light is replaced with the angle eye bulb.

I have confirmed no bulb out error with the angle eye bulb but really want to go with Angel Eye DRL only.

As an aside; from some searching, it looks like coding out the bulb test flicker will be possible.

Thanks

I went from your headlights to Lci halogens. Just swap the headlights and when put to Parking lights you should have the rings on as long as drl is turned on in the obc stalk

My car is Canadian, so current the DRL is only the highbeams ran at half power.

Only get the parking light when the turning the headlights to either side lights, or regular beam.

Played around with the lights and stacks; I dont have a stalk option to change the DRL. DRL are on for all headlight switch settings (Auto / Parking Light) except for headlights on setting.

kind of hoping this would be as simple as changing DRL=High Beam to DRL = Parking light

Change the code to drl_s which is dedicated lights AKA Angels

You can probably disable DRL, then drive with parking lights on manually to get AEs on. Maybe code out the corners so it's only AE when parking lights are turned on via the switch.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but it can be achieved I think.
