HUD on the cheap
Might be useful for those who didn't specify NAv in the car.

It would be nice if it could display the speedometer...that's the most useful part of the HUD for me.

This was actually the one feature I really missed when opting out of the F30 I ordered. Wonder how good these are, I'll probably look into an OBDII setup for sure.

I've seen reviews on similar devices and the biggest issue is the double reflection from the glass. Some come with a film to lay on the screen to stop that, but at times that film is ineffective also.
There's been an app for the iPhone out for several years that did this, but the reflection was just too annoying to put up with. |
