three mobile deal
if anyone is interested
three have a sim only - one plan for £15 unlimited data unlimited tethering usual obscene mins and texts http://store.three.co.uk/view/search...an=PAY_MONTHLY Never liked the idea of three. Would hate to be without a phone signal. o2's 3G is pretty bad so i naturally assumed three would be very patchy. So far blistering speeds and not lost signal even when the mrs' o2 phone lost service out and about. Promising start. This will also allow unlimited data and tethering on 4G in roughly november. My quidco tracked at £58 cashback too. Will see if it pays. Keeping my unlimited o2 data sim for a while until i'm sure. |

Good heads-up. I've heard very good things about Three's 3G service.

Been with 3 for some years now, previously been on all the Major networks excluding orange. Three does seem to have fast data speeds whenever I use it with pretty good coverage. Inside buildings the signal can be a bit poor because of the frequency that they use. Due to various discounts etc I am on a tariff which gives me 300 voice minutes, oodles of texts, 2000 3 to 3 minutes (my wife is also on three) and 2 1/2 GB of data all for the princely sum of £4.65. I think I will stay with them?

Moved from O2 to 3 earlier in the year. 3G speeds on 3 are simply amazing, I get faster download speeds on my phone than home broadband!!
Voice calls/reception however isn't so great. But it's a trade off am happy to put up with given the cheap data. |

I've been with three for about 6 months now and I've not had any problems and get speeds upto 18mbps on 3g. Totally unlimited data to so great for streaming Sky sports on the go.

I switched from O2 to Three & have now got a better signal at home!
The days of Three network coverage being poor are long gone! Not sure they will be as good on 4G when it's rolled out no all networks tho, as they got the crap frequencies! |

Threes 4g will be rolled out on 1800mhz same as EE and the only UK frequency supported by the iPhone 5.
Hopefully the 5s will support 800mhz for O2s sake or it will be almost pointless for them. 800mhz great for range, 2600mhz good for capacity. 1800 somewhere in middle. 3G runs on 2100mhz on all networks with O2 having 900mhz servicing patchy areas. 2100 reaches fine so 4g might give us slightly better coverage where enabled. However getting 22mbit on a dc-hsdpa iPhone 5 is practically 4g |
