Car got caught in a flash flood last night

We got some heavy rain in State College, PA last night and I got caught in a flash flood. The car actually floated to the other side of the road. My engine cut out and water was rushing in up to the seats. BMW paid to have it towed to the nearest dealer which was nice. The insurance adjuster looked at it this morning and says it is a total loss. Not sure what to do now...

Order a '14 which has a few new/added features? Take advantage of anything you missed out on the first time around.

Or, maybe find a 335 on the lot and work a deal to get it for the same price as a 328.

I always try and make the best of a bad situation and UPGRADE when I can.

Haha. Yeah. I was on Westerly Parkway. I'm not sure if I will get another BMW or not. I did think about the 335...

Not really any other than upgraded iDrive for example. This is why the price increase was only $600 for the 328 and $400 for the 335.

You also get launch control.

Hope not. It's not like he was at fault, but I guess each insurance carrier varies.

I'm also curious about this though!

No, it will not go up, as it did happen to me once with my 2006 325i then I got a 2007 335xi

Upgrade that sucker!

That is why I never put money down on a lease. I had a Jetta totaled in a flash flood and a TSX totaled by a driver who ran a stop sign. In both cases I somehow got back money after the leases were settled, even though the cars were both less than a year old.

My premiums did not increase in either case.

Is this actually confirmed for the US-spec 2014 3 series? I know there was a general worldwide BMW communication about 2014 models get the launch control, but it wasn't too clear which markets were included in this. I haven't seen a 2014 US 3 series brochure that confirms this yet.

Thanks for the replies. It was a lease and I only put down the max MSDs. I don't want another 328...the engine sounding like a diesel is getting on my nerves.

you'll get the MSDs back, I specifically asked that question when I was considering doing that a month ago.
