Is it a high-pitched rattle coming from the muffler?

To see if this is it, fire up the car, go to the side making the noise, and push the valve open and then let it close. Push the valve all the way closed. If it goes away when open and then when pushed closed you found the issue.

That is what mine was doing. I tried to extend the ball and socket to close it further but it was almost all the way out already - so I just bent the actuator bracket a bit to close off the valve all the way, voila - no more rattle.

Where do you hear the noise? In back or more toward the driver?

Noise

Interesting my Akra on M6 does not make any such noise. I wonder if it was an install problem? There are multiple brackets that have to be removed and properly reinstalled. I would make your mechanic check each one of these as well. There could be one not properly torqued down and it only vibrates at certain frequencies.

True, there are other things...but it seems that exhaust valves (across the manufs.) can rattle. Mine was fine for 2 months, then started. Been fine since the adjustment.

Your exhaust valve needs to be adjusted. It's too loose correctly.

Eisenmann/IND has instructions on how to fix this on Eisenmann exhausts. Its a simple adjustment.

Ask IND-Distribution. I also posted it on a previous thread about the Eisenmann Sport rattle so you could search.
