got an yellow half filled engine light on my drive to work this morning
I looked in the manual what this light means, and according to the manual, it says that the cause is "Full engine power is no longer available."
And under "what to do" it says "You can continue your journey, but moderate your speed and exercise due caution. Have the engine checked as soon as possible." The car currently feels like it has no boost. I currently have Procede installed on my car. Not sure if this is the cause of the problem. I plan to take the car to a dealership near my work during lunch. Will i be ok taking the car in as is. I really don't have the time or tools to take the Procede off the car at this point. |

just restart the car and see if the engine malfunction light goes off...IT usally clears itself once the car is restarted...Don't bring it to the dealer just yet.....If you drive the car and the engine malfunnction comes on again, then take it there if u want

Happened to me and when I restarted my car it went away. However, I still had a service engine soon warning light. Turned out to be a faulty o2 sensor replaced under warranty with PROcede in the car.

You may not have hit the boost target. If that's the case, you could load up the PROcede v1.47 LBT map (on the Vishnu Forum) and/or wait for v2.0. It's really not a big deal though.

I would advise you to at least pull the code and see why your car went into limp mode. Its nice to hear that the problem went away with a restart, but wouldn't you want to make sure that it was because a boost target wasn't hit?

You need a code reader. You can get them on ebay for as low as $30 so its a pretty good investment, but if you don't want to buy one you can go to autozone and they will pull a code for you for free. You just plug it into your OBDII port (under the driver's side of the dash), and see what code pops up.

I got my 2nd CEL today on the way home from work. Again, no code. Gas this time was 93 octane Chevron (last time was BP). Last time temps were >100 F, this time 85 F. Both times: around 2000RPM, very light acceleration, maybe doing 45mph, oil temp 210 F. |

Same Problem Here :(
I just had the problem last night , I was driving the car well under 70-75mph because it was raining. But when I exited the highway, and I shift from 3rd to 4th and floor it a little to pass some other car, BOOM, here it comes.
Pulled over, restarted and the car light when off, got into a highway again, light came up again after 15 minutes when, got off the highway, restarted the car and the light went off, etc. In total were 4 times (only once on my way home). I noticed that 2 of them were when shifting to 4th. I'm in Miami running Citgo 93, last time I filled up the tank was Tuesday, I have about 20 days with PROcede v1.47 and had no problem before, my car currently have 7958 miles. I'm going to make sure the solenoid hoses are tied up, I know the cables are good because : 1) It was working 2) I triple checked the wiring, and put tape around it during the install. :h elp::hel p: |

Having some sort of engine fault and taking it in to the dealership with your piggyback installed is just asking for trouble, especially if the fault can be traced back to your mod.

pull the piggyback out and wait 100 miles or so after you pulled it out to bring it to the stealership

Effectively gents, as Shiv previously stated in one of the threads, I was one of the folks that used the screw driver to pull up the T solenoid hose, and broke it . The hose had a crack of about a inch, and the the coupler was almost out if it. I cut it with a diagonal plier and put it back in place very tight.
I have installed procede twice in my car because i was going to take my car for service once but i ended up canceling the appointment. that was this week, I believe I broke the hose the during the 2nd install. It is possible to replace the T solenoid hose? I want to leave it as stock as possible, and maybe have one handy in case i need to replace it . |

oh one more question, do i need to clear up the warning or reset the ECU? I read a thread where they mention you need to. If so, how do I do it? through the Code reader or the PROcede?
