Hey let me know how much this thing is going to cost you when you find a place. I went to BMW and they want to charge me $1177.57. I am thinking of going to Bay Diagnostic in Brooklyn since it isn't too far from my house.

had mine changed at cambertoe, its been good ever since. don't try it yourself unless you really know what you're doing, I tried on my n52 and it was a nightmare. got halfway through and couldn't get certain screws off so I ended up having to just put everything back together and then take it to the shop.

N52's are easy! Common do those all day long! You must not have the right tools..

possibly, but I think it was more likely that some of the screws were just a bitch to get to and there was so much stuff to get out of the way. It was also my first attempt at something as big as replacing the vcg.

don't remember exactly because I had some other stuff done along with it (alignment, brake fluid flush) but I believe it was in the range of $400-500 maybe?
