If you go spend about 50 bucks in tools you can do it yourself, you should replace the rotors too...

Is it difficult? I seen videos it looks simple maybe 30 min tops but I just wouldn't want to risk that. Yeah rotors are in the works this is just temporary.

It does look simple but I rather play self unless there's a step by step guide prehaps I'll bite the bullet.

new rotors mean new pads. if you change these pads and use on old rotors, its a waste

Can you please elaborate on this, im curious as to why you think you need new rotors when replacing pads.....this wasnt always the case on my older cars.

You need new rotors when you put new pads on. Rotors way back when were much thicker and stronger. They are now made with cheaper alloys and much thinner. Rotors get grooves, hot spot and warp very easily. While putting new pads on old rotors isnt a safety issue the new pads will squeal, make other noises and give brake pulsations. Not very good when most people tune the cars for more power and do high speed runs.

Rotors are in progress but which direction to go in? Stop tech? Drilled? Slotted? Both? Any recommendations?

fyi...i tried doing it myself last year....couldn't for the life of me get the bolts on the rotors off with hand tools....i'm fairly handy and have done a ton of brake jobs in the past with air tools but those f'in bolts were impossible....wound up taking it to a local brake shop, handing them the rotors and pads and $100.

Try to do it yourself it's not a big deal even with basic tools.
