What to buy in Germany?
Was supposed to go on a business trip the 2nd week of October but that got pushed back.
I'll just start planning my shopping list for my next trip. Are there any good parts for my E92 that I can pick up in Germany and ship back here?

HAHA Generally, I know things are expensive over there but I wasn't sure about car part, especially parts that aren't offered in the US?

I think you can get most EDM parts through vendors on here. I looked while I was there last week and didn't see much that I hadn't seen before. I didn't make it to any tuners like Rieger, ACS or anything like that though just OEM parts.
With the Euro dollar exchange rate you take a beating any way. |

This morning the dollar sank to an ALL TIME LOW against the Euro...
1 Euro now costs $1.40 You will take a beating there no matter what you get. BTW, try to get a VAT form when you're there so that you don't have to pay the 18% sales tax on goods. |

It was around 1 Euro to $1.30 before. Just getting McDonalds put me at about $7-$8 for a Big Mac meal. And it was down right NASTY too!

Best choice for the E90 or E92, I think, is the plug-and-play rear fog light switch. For $75 or so and a little DIY, you can make the driver behind you go blind.

With this, I guess I won't be needing the license plate that says "BACKOFF"

OK, this is an easy one, since I've planning to go to Germany soon. I'm re-creating the euro spec trunk.
I plan to call a dealer in the town I am visiting (likely Munich) the week before, so they can order the part. (I figured this out by speaking to a dealer in London) WARNING TRIANGLE: Bracket P/N 51 47 7 131 760 and 51 47 7 131 761 Triangle P/N: 71601095457 The brackets you can get thru Crown (http://parts.crownauto.com/) in US, but not the triangle. FIRST AID KIT P/N 51476949966 (FYI I got a quote of GBP 14.81 equiv US=$30 from a London dealer) FIRE EXTINGUISHER (not for trunk, mounts under seat) Extinguisher P/N 72600000335 $67.60 available in US at crown. BUT, the bracket for e92 seats is illusive here. Find a german dealer on this website: http://www.bmwworld.com/dealers/germany.htm Good luck!

stooken, I have got to ask. Do you know the woman in your avatar? Nice set of panties!!!
If you haven’t done an ED you should take advantage of it. Ours was the best vacation we have ever taken. Be sure to try the Beer and if you should end up in Amsterdam as we did don’t miss the red light district! Red
