Hi All, I'm keen to purchase a 335i 2009-10 E92/E93 with M-sport package and <80K/km. Ideally in Sydney. Just throwing it out there!

I was offered a '07 convertible low km for $46K and the inspection report was really good.
Called the seller and they said they were just offered $46K by a dealer, so they've put it back up for sale with a higher price.
Now they won't budge from $49K.
a) take it for $49K
b) ignore out of spite
c) wait till no one buys it at a higher price then offer $45K?

P.S only looking for a 335i... thanks for the posts!

Sounds like bs man. I went to test drive a 335, it was 42k, guy told me that dealer offered 38k trade in. It had a slipping clutch; was f'd and waste gate was fugged. No chance a dealer would offer that.

Whoever you are buying it from are talking smack cause a few people might have enquired, they will fall off their high horse soon.

Step 1. Do not have ANY emotional investment in any potential car.

Step 2. Its a buyers market. If you think its worth $40k, offer it. If they carry on with how insulting it is, apologize and walk away. They will crawl back. If they dont then dont worry about it.

Step 3. If/when they call you back saying "OK, $40 is a fair price" say "well, I have already got one lined up for $40k and it has more options, make it $39k and I will take it of your hands".

Step 4. There is no step 4

Step 5. Do not have ANY emotional investment in any potential car.
