Hi all,

I have read numerous posts about different spoiler options. I have decided I will buy one from ebay from emotors2000. But, I am torn between (1) black to match my exterior color or (2) carbon fiber.

I don't have any other carbon fiber on my car at this point and don't know if I will be adding additional CF in the future. Mods on my E90 sedan are tinted windows, black lines rear lights, angel eyes, and black grill.

Do you think the CF spoiler will look out of place?

I would suggest you sit down and come up with a theme or style you want for your car down the road. If the only carbon fiber piece on your car was the spoiler then it would look out of place, but if you plan on a carbon fiber lip, diffusor, etc then I would go for the carbon fiber. Just try to make everything flow and complement your other/future cosmetic mods and you'll be fine.

If this is the style of spoiler you are going to install, then the Black Body Color version is the right choice.

If you were going to install the OEM Performance spoiler, then CF would look great.

Get it painted, it will look cleaner and better overall IMO esp if you dont know if you will be doing supporting cf mods in the future

Black. No question. Putting CF on there and having no other CF on the car to complement it would just look like you bolted on a CF gizmo. A black one will look like it belongs there.
