So, I've been getting into trouble with the cops because my rear turn signals are tinted to complete blackness and the signals are faint at night. Is there any possible way that I can get the car coded so that one of the brake lights flashes instead of the turn signal? For instance, the brake light that only comes on during hard braking... Can that be coded to light up when the turn signals are on??? Thanks

Criticism aside, you probably can. You could physically rewire the BFD brake lights to the turn signal and de-code the BFD brake lights or throw resistors on them so your car doesnt throw a code, probably just easier to go with a lighter tint on the tails though.

Coding only is not the solution.
You'll need to use hardware method (as mentioned above) and coding. Life will be a lot easier if you take your tint off.

I talked to a local coding guy and he said it wasn't possible so I think rewiring is the only way to go. How tough of a job is this? Should I just upgrade to the LCI tails at this point? |

Lol very good excuse indeed. Headlights and tail lights are super easy to take apart if you have an oven. You basically just heat the unit up and the sealant starts to become soft enough to separate the two halves, heat up and re seal when done. There are tons of DIY's on the internet
